yep its register.bat or something similar double click on it and bobs your uncle.
Stick would it make a difference if I am pasting the screen into paint as that is the only graphics package I have installed on the mrs pc?

No, my experience is that it's a problem at the 'copy' or 'Alt/PrtScn' stage, and it doesn't matter where you paste it. I use Paint Shop Pro most of the time, and all the other viewers I've tried do what you're seeing now.

I keep a copy of 'capturewizard' on my toolbar. Right click and drage the area I want as a picture and save. Its very handy for those elusive family history documents that wont normally print.
The Digitalb screen shot above was done that way.
