Hi all, still trying to boot after two days.

However after a lot of research I have learn so much about networking you know I began to to enjoy the struggle

If I only knew how to set an IP in the Dreambox using the serial terminal

Do you know what IP address the Dreambox actually has?

We can change the network settings by FTP if needs be.

Get yourself a good free FTP client, install it, and read up how to use it. Something like FlashFXP.

See my post in your other thread too. That should keep you busy 'till tomorrow

Hi Dezzy,

Have you actually ever booted the Dreambox to see a free to air channel? If not, it is unlikely you are going to get anywhere in sorting out a lan connection. The 7020s is a bit easier than the 7000 in that the lan is detected without a flash image but its not easy unless you see it on the LCD display.

I would strongly recommend that you do a factory reset and then see what happens. Let us know how things go stage by stage.
