Hi all
It has been established that my site latitude is 53.324 N The elevation and declination angle table in the motor installation manual indicates the following Site Latitude = 53 (Checked) elevation angle for the motor = 37 (Set) declination angle 7.6 dish bracket angle 22.4 OK ,after agreeing with all of the above Here is my question on the illustration on the Triax TD 110 dish mounting instructions there are two diagrams of the dish. 1 Shows the elevation 10-34 degrees 2 Shows the elevation of 23-48 degrees whichever you choose determines wether you turn the bracket the other way round or not which has a dramatic effect on the appearance of the dish ie appears to point downwards. So as dumb as this question is it is the final piece of doubt I have about my set up before searching for the arc. Does the 10-34 and the 23-48 refer to the elevation of 37 or the final dish bracket angle of 22.4 If 37 Its choice 2 If 22.4 Its choice 1 Regards Dezzy |

It refers to the dish angle of 22.4 degrees.
The bracket can be fitted either of two ways round to accommodate different ('extreme') latitudes. Make sure you fit the strengthening plate inside the actual sliding dish mount you mention, and also the extra 'U' shaped bracket inside the pole/motor mount bracket if you've been supplied with them. If you don't have any of these 'spare' parts, then forget I mentioned this!

Thank you BGonaSTICK
Yes both these plates have been installed and are in correct position : ![]() So when I turn the bracket around (as indeed I do have to) ops: to the 10-34 degree angle set-up the markings on the other side of the dish are then used because there is only one centre pointer (notch)on one side of the bracket for the degrees and this should i my case be 22.4 Sorry for laboring the point. Is this what they mean be an off set dish appearing to point downwards as it appears a straighter elevation than the others. Dezzy |

Yes, pretty much. The LNB is offset to the bottom of the dish. This picture should help you visualise it better, although it has been simplified a bit.
This is why sometimes in looks as though your dish is pointing too low ![]()

Thank you very much BGonaSTICK
Just waiting for the rest of the stand to come tomorrow. They sent it without the adjustable feet . Oh well the wind in the North West has been very bad, trees down tiles off damaged cars, you name it. I hope everyones setups are still OK : , Could not have done much even if I had the parts.Dezzy |
