England footballer Glen Johnson has been arrested and given an £80 fine after he and another man were caught stealing from a B&Q store in Kent.
The defender, who has played five times for England, was held along with Millwall footballer Ben May. Johnson, currently on loan from Chelsea to Portsmouth, and May were caught at B&Q in Dartford on Wednesday. A police statement said: "Kent Police arrested two 22-year-old men... on suspicion of theft in Dartford." A spokesman added: "Both men have been issued with £80 fixed penalty notices." B&Q said: "We can confirm two men were apprehended in our Dartford store on the afternoon of 17 January, following an alleged shoplifting incident involving a B&Q bathroom suite."
