You will only be able to connect it toy our laptop if you have a Com 1 serial port (RS232) or if you buy a USB to Serial converter.
You will then need a null modem c@ble to connect the 2 pieces of equipment together ![]() You will find the Darkman patch on the a l s a t forum in the Technomate software thread ![]() You have an excellent piece of kit there mate. Its what i use at the moment and i have no complaints about it ![]() ![]() Nano

![]() Read everything before you try a flash, especially the readme that comes with the Darkman files. Ask here if you are unsure about anything. NEVER interrupt a flash while it's in progress OR flash a file not meant for that receiver. You will kill your box instantly and forever. STICK

I always get a bit nervous while flashing
mine. It only takes a couple of minutes but it seems like ages before it springs back to life .Kev

LOL - I always tip-toe around the room just in case I 'upset it', whilst waiting for the inevitable power-cut

Ha-Ha, I get the wife to stop ironing/hoovering or whatever she(incase she trips out the electric) and get her to hold onto the dog.(incase his tail hits an off button somewhere) and then I hold my breath until the process has finished.

![]() The loader and software from the TM site will only put the unit back to standard form it wont open up a thing ![]() You need the loader on this url _http://www.alsat.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=73978 and the appropriate software for your receiver fom here _http://www.alsat.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=74942 Make sure you load the correct software for your unit I.e the one for the 1500CI+ You will also need the TPS bin file if you want ot watch TPS and Multivision. This needs to be loaded to the receiver everyday You will find the bin files here _http://www.alsat.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=788 ![]() I think there is instructions for this on the alsat forum where you get the software from ![]() ![]() Nano
