It seems that your modem is Huawei MT882: (http://www.huawei.com/products/termi...view.do?id=121)
According to its spec it is a ADSL router with NAT, DHCP and firewall functionality. All you need is a switch.

Hi all

OK ordered the 4 port 10/100 fast Ethernet switch for the networking, should be here in the next few days.

I have another question though

I am going to order the art card for the football Full Bouquet Sports 1-6 + Al-Jaz 1 & 2 + Movies Special
The purchase of this card comes with the warning below.

"AL-Jazeera is programmed on these cards by Arabesque with the very latest Viaccess encryption, you will need a Viaccess cam, or Viaccess embedded cams in your receiver. Matrix, Dragon and simulated multicrypts will not open Al-Jaz, but they will open them once activated. So please ask us to activate the card before dispatch if you do not have the correct equipment"

Can anyone tell me if my Dreambox 7020 has the viaaccess embedded cam in it. If not would it be worthwhile investing in a viaccess cam or should I just get the supplier to activate the card before dispatch.

Although the Viaccess emulators used by the Dreambox are far from 'official', most will work with the ART card as Jim says. I actually find that not all of those that should work actually do, but that's not a major problem for me.

Activation is a slightly different issue, but again I found that some emus allowed activation of the card, while others didn't. Let's face it though, you only need to find one to do the one-time activation, so no biggie. I tried Evocamd and Newcamd to no avail. Camd3 worked first time (it does take a few seconds to kick in, so be patient).

ART will probably only carry the Premiership until the end of this season on Hotbird, so don't pay more than £50 (for 6 months) if that's all you want. I actually spent the extra £20 to get a full year (and I'm glad I did, as I find that there's loads of good sport on ART).

I would even consider buying it without the football if the price was right.

Dezzy, just jumping back to your earlier post, you said you had put Flashwizard onto your usb stick. It should go into the pc and not the usb stick.

Hi thanks for you replies,

I used the Viaccess cam with the Art Card activated fine. :

However the Picture on all channels is intermittently freezing for a second or two very regularly. If I remove the Viaccess cam the picture returns to normal it also happens on the Art channels. Any one got any ideas?? :?

If so, which one?

You should definitely be able to find a suitable softcam to run the ART card flawlessly.

Hi Dezzy, I am getting confused now. If you are using a dreambox, everything is done by emulator which is software.

The official cards are read via the emulators. There are several emus and you pick one that you like.
