Default Thomson LNB switch

Hi all,

I have been given a Thomson LNB from an old sky dish, can you tell me if I can use it with my lidl dish and comag receiver , so I can pick up 2 sats from one dish.(I have an lnb switch which I bought from ebay)
Also the Thomson LNB has a switch with 5 positions underneath it...any ideas what this is for?

Cheers

Laz

If the dish is under 80cm diameter its going to be a bit small for multi sat reception.

Sky lnb's are designed for oval dishes not round ones.

But have a go and see what you can find - you arent going to lose anything apart from an hour of your time, and you may find it gives acceptable results

Half the fun of the hobby is finding what works for you as no two enthusiasts have exactly the same requirements.

The "switch" on the bottom of the lnb rotates the lnb inside the housing to set the "skew"

Thanks Analoguesat,
I was just wondering if the switch changed the voltage it worked on or something...dont know much about sky.. I have a lidl 80cm dish, so I'll mess around with it and see what I get.

Thanks again
