Default Astra 28E Problem

Just set up a 60cm dish with a Skyware LNB next to my other dish but can only seem to pick up a few channels on 28E and only if I use the settings

LNB TYPE - single
LNB Frequency 10.000
22khz off

If I have it on my normal settings I get no signal at all but this only happens on 28E it picks up the same channels on Hotbird and 19E as my monoblock. When I scan with the above settings on 28E I get about 200 channels most of which are nds but only with a 60% quality and that is very blocky with intermittent sound on the free ones. I don't think the problem is the lnb as it works fine on the other 2 satellites. Also earlier today I was moving the dish and got 80% quality on 23E and 26E both at the same time!!!! Obviously this is impossible so anyone have an idea of what is going on?

The thing with the screenshots is that we don't know what transponder it's using :?

OK, the scan is poor at 200 channels, but I would just put that down to slightly iffy alignment and skew maybe.

I guess the reception you were getting from 23.5E and 26E was just because coincidentally, the transponder definitions in your receiver for those sats ties up in part with whatever the dish was actually pointing to, whatever that was. Two and a half degrees of separation is pretty difficult to get more than one satellite on, especially on an 80cm dish.

Just sorted it moved the dish to another part of the garden (in fleece bob hat and wellies after all it is sleeting) There is a thin bare tree in next doors garden that must have been affecting the signal still not perfect needs a bit more tweaking and got quality of 62% without even trying just popped the dish on the deck and pointed it to where I thought it should be and voila.

Just rescanned without messing with the lnb or anything and now have 718 channels so must have been the positioning of the dish but there are still a few channels missing. No Scuzz no TWC no L!ve TV and no Channel M which are actually the main 4 I am after lol

You should be OK after a bit of alignment tweaking then

I have Skuzz on 28.2E as well as Channel M - you mention 23 and 26 - another few degrees - could that be it?

still needs a bit more tweaking yet Diapason. I think as Stick said its pure coincidence about the 23E and 26E not had time to have a play yet will have another go at scuzz tomorrow. The problem now is on my ss2 when I scan 28E I get different channels everytime. 1st scan I got 119 channels, saved them, scanned again straight away and got 200 channels scanned again 320 then again and it was back down to 110. I get the same whether using the loopthru or direct connection. Think I will try it in another pc tomorrow.

Yes, that would be a good test to eliminate the PC side from the troubles.
