Why won't my DigitAlb card work - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Me again

Can any of you gents tell me why i cant get my dreambox to unscramble DigitAlb even though there is a legit DigitAlb card in the slot.

Have tried with 3 images - Gemini 3.30, Neutrino.DREAM Plus v2.02/Da Vodka Xmas edition & The PLi Garnet image without any luck.

I have installed EvoCamd and Newcamd (well at least i think i have) and still nothing.

I have even tried installing the Sin Keybundle for evocamd as demonstrated by Stick on the url below and guess what, nothing happened

If i can get my DigitAlb and D+ up and running i'll be well chuffed

After you changed the files, did you reboot? Also did you check that the bin files are all executable?

How did you install the emus?

Through the blue button. The box downloaded the files and installed them itself. :?

The key files were done by FTP to the Var/Keys file and Var/scce folder and then i restarted the cam :?

I have found that some images need a complete reboot for the emu files to work properly. Don't ask me why but give that a try.

It can be really frustrating. I had my ART card working on camd3 using Gemini 3.1, but when I upgraded to Gemini 3.2 and downloaded the SAME VERSION of camd3, it stopped working! That just ****es me off.

The only emu I can get to clear my ART card now is GBOX. I just don't have the time to go chasing down the why's and wherefor's now. If no emu's worked I'd be sorting it out PDQ though!

As far as C/S is concerned, I managed to get it working on my machine as a test (using GBOX), but I wasn't able to get it running on a 7020 for love nor money.

It might be worth trying C/S again with camd3 at some point, but time is the enemy these days.

Running Gemini 3.3

Have tried various softcams downloaded and installed by the box but still nothing >

For probably the first time in my life i'm asking to be spoonfed here as i'm getting frustrated that all i have at the moment is a £330 FTA box

Had to connect the Technomate back up to save my sanity

Had enough for tonight, going to settle down with the Technomate and watch some tv

AH you have got to the "bloody thing" stage. Remarkably quickly actually!

It cant possibly be descibed as a 330 quid fta box - at this very moment we have D+, SRG, Premiere, part of Arena, and one or two of the TPS channels open.

It is frustrating though Nick. Im still trying to get my 7020 to read my INXTC card. Im not in the sightest bit bothered about the content, but it should work, and its defeated me so far.

Its probably not the image, although Gemini is particularly awkward about emus. To get started, I wouls strongly recommend the DS Team image because it has direct download and install options.

If you are around Friday morning Nick perhaps I can ftp to your box and see what is happening.
