Default Oscars to be shown in High Definition on Sky

Sky has announced that both the live ceremony and red-carpet coverage of the Oscars will be broadcast for the first time in the UK in high definition.

Sky One and Sky One HD's 90 minute preview coverage, starting at 11pm on Sunday 25th February will capture the magic of the famous red carpet arrivals.

Then Sky Movies and Sky Movies HD will show live coverage of the awards beginning at 12.30am with the ceremony kicking off at 1.30am.

Sky One and Sky One HD will broadcast a two-hour highlights show from 10pm on Monday 26 February 2007.
