Default Painting a Dish

Hi

I have just taken delivery of a Triax td88 and plan to install it at the weekend. The dish is a dark grey colour and the wall where I plan to install it is a white/creamy colour. I was thinking it may annoy the neighbours less if it matched the colour of the wall.
How do I go about painting it? what sort of paint is recommended if at all?

Dont use anything glossy, dont use lead based paint, and nothing with a crackle finish.

Matt finish car primer should do fine.

If the wall is covered with an external emulsion paint you could try that on your dish.
I have seen pictures where this method was used, some had even painted the mount, the rear of the dish, the motor, the lnb arm and lnb but not the front face of the lnb. I might have seen them on AS's web site, or perhaps SR posted them.
The whole set up was virtually invisible from about 10 yards away.

That blue ones nice!

Is it likely to affect the reception though?

No, if you can lay on the paint with even a half decent finish, you won't notice any difference.

Should be fine as long as you don't use the metallic ones
