I would like (wouldn't everyone?) to have more than a simple 'now and next' EPG available on the 7025. I gather that the MV plugin is a solution commonly used on Dreamboxes, but that it isn't available in a form usable on the 7025.

So what I'd like to know, therefore, is if there is anyway of converting the XMLTV data available from sites such as radiotimes.com for use on the 7025. As I'm running Gemini 2.1.0, I guess (though I'm happy to be corrected) that I need to get the XMLTV data onto the media/hdd/gemini.epg.dat file. Can this be done? If so, how? And what program might I need to do this?

It would be an interesting project for sure.

As you say, there isn't an EPG plugin off the shelf for the 7025 (AFAIK). It might be possible to recompile some source for the 7020 if you could get hold of it, but it would probably need a lot of hacking about anyway.

You could of course trying writing some fresh code yourself, or plead with someone else to do it.

Like you, I think that the free availability of the data means that it would be feasible to just reformat it into Dreambox-speak to get it to work, but that's still a fair amount of graft.

Thanks, BGonaSTICK, for clarifying the situation. I guess I'll either just have to wait, or, as you suggest, plead with someone more knowlegable about coding than I am.
