Did anyone ever heard of SatScan? http://www.satellitetv2u.co.uk/
Their prices seem to be quite good, but I am not quite sure if they are reliable. |

As long as you pay by Credit Card you should be ok either way
![]() It should cover you for the initial purchase if anything goes wrong like damage in post or if the company ceases trading Certain credit cards also cover you if the item breaks before the 12 month guarentee period I think Barclaycard may be one of them, but don't quote me on that :?They do have some quite good prices from what i can see and they stock the Vantage VT-X221TS CI receiver which is apparently one of the fastest blind search recivers available according to Dr Dish TV. (on hotbird 13e). As far as i know SatSid is after one of the vantage receivers so i'll let him know about this place ![]() Hope this helps mate. ![]() Nano

Thanks for that
![]() I always using credit card for internet purchases. Even when my CC was compromised (some moron ordered AOL broadband with it and was identified in a couple of hours as broadband has to be supplied to physical address), it only took an hour or so to sort things out. However, those guys are only accepting credit card payment through PayPal. Not sure what's CC provider views on that. I am interested in Topfield TF4000PVR and price is very tempting. |

You should get cover from PayPal aswell although i am unsure why they are using PayPal rather than directly accepting credit card. The only thing it could be is that its cheaper for them than having a card machine from the bank :? Make sure if you do use them that their Paypal account is verified before parting with any cash ![]() ![]() Nano

Barclaycard stopped the 12m warranty thing a year or two back. I used to use it all the time, but it was obviously costing them too much. Not because of me I might add!
I'm not sure on using your credit card via Paypal. I suspect that you don't end up with the same rights at all, because your contract is with Paypal and not the retailer directly. Buyer beware. I've never used Satscan, so can't comment on them as a company.
