TPS auto-update on Dreambox

Automatic TPS updater is out for the Dreambox. Thanks go to the the author citat.

The small plugin allows you to update the TPS keys automatically.

Put the both files (DW-Tps-updater.cfg) and the file ( DW-Tps-updater.sh ) in

var/tuxbox/plugins for DM500-DM7000

/usr/lib/tuxbox/plugins for DM7020

...and chmod (755) both files.

With the remote control, press the plugin button (yellow button) and choose DW-SATMAC TPS-Updater and then wait for around 5 seconds - thats it.

Don't know how long it will last but it has been tested, and found to be working perfectly on Enigma.

Will this work with any softcam Stick or just one in particular :? Using gb0x atm

If i can get TPS working i think i will be safe enough to get rid of the Technomate

Only just got gbox to work with a lot of help from Jim so i don't really want ot muck about with it if someone knows it doesn't work

In the end i thought sod it and had a go with it

Put the files where they are supposed to go and changed the attributes to 755 and it doesn't work.

The Dreambox knows they are there, it just won't run them.

"Cannot open shared object , No such file or object" is all that is getting displayed.

Think i may need to try it on a different image

I have it working with Evocamd and (I think) Newcamd. I found some of the keys to be missing, so it was a bit on-and-off. Don't know if that situation would change based on when you update the bundle :?

The great thing about having a USB stick, is that you can just install another copy of an image to ensure you don't muck up your existing one.

I have several versions of Gemini on my USB, all slightly different.

Found the new AU for TPS on Mgcamd, works the same as it does on Technomates. Installed it and everything is hunkydory

Finally got TPS back without needing the Technomate

Just got to sort the Biss stuff out now and i can get shut of the TM

Mind you at least i can get NG Turkey back after the gits started broadcasting it in 4.2.2

Nano, by default, g b o x looks for the keys file in var/keys. The 7020 uses usr/ instead of var/. Have you made a folder var/keys and installed the keys there? The image will redirect files and that is where some of the problems may lie.

Nah mate the image setup only has Var/keys, I've got TPS now so I'm not overly worried TBH

Box is running the way i want it to now on Colosseum 1.1

Ditched the DS image as i find it too buggy and i just don't like Gemini 3.4

Just running Colosseum 1.1 and the basic enigma flash image now

Sounds like you're running the 7000 version, not that it makes much difference.

I think it is stick, but it works fine so i'm leaving it the way it is

just installed 1.20 on my dreambox 7000s

using colloseum 1.1

seems to be ok at the moment
