Just came across this thingy.
It looks OK on paper and is cheap as cheaps (110 quid or so). But whose DAFT idea was to use an external PVR box with EXTERNAL IDE and power connectors?

OK, it might make video transfer easier but why not just use USB as all decent people do?

What do you think about this miracle of technical design?
