After much trawling of the Internet I finally came accross an EPG plugin (MviewMplug71) for the 7025. The tarball can be downloaded from _http://digsat.net/database/beta/Software/MviewMplug71.rar.

Anyway, having successfully installed it on my 7025, I'm completely stuck about getting EPG data into it. I've been using EPGcenter, which has uploaded data (in *.cfe format) into /var/tuxbox/config/mv, but this doesn't actually seem to work. Accessing the MviewMplug EPG via the blue panel (games/plugins) simply reveals a blank page (with 'zap' and 'add timer' buttons at the bottom).

The folder on the 7025 where EPGcenter has uploaded its data is the same one where MviewMplug has desposited the following files:

chanDtv.in
chanEu.in
chanRad.in

If anyone has any ideas about how to get this plugin working (I can find no documentation on it anywhere), they would be gratefully received.

First of all, I would suggest checking that all the individual files have been installed where they should be. I would have thought that would be the same as the hierarchy that they're organised in within the package you've posted.

Chase down each leg on the PC and compare it to what you have on the Dreambox (via FTP or whatever).

Also, make sure that the Mplug file (in usr/bin) has been chmoded to 755.

You can also check those details against what's in the uninstall script

You might try making all the files 755, as one or more of them will probably need to be writable so that the plugin can store the EPG data locally.

Note also that this plugin was probably written by someone from IHAD, so that might be a good place to ask for support.

It's the chanRad.in file that determines the channels to EPG for at 28.2E.

Don't forget too, that it's a beta, and might not work properly anyway.
