Dezzy, do you have dhcp set on your pc and the rest of the network connections.

I prefer to fix the IPs manually so that they dont change if I add anything to my network.

The IP you show appears correct. Have you ticked the box 'enable network' in the communications setup window on the dreambox?

How do you connect to the internet, is it via the pc or direct via the switch?

Hi Dezzy.

Assuming that nothing has changed since your last thread on your network/router, and you've just just added a switch to your modem, then you should just connect your PC and Dreambox to the new switch, and everything should work fine.

You have specified an IP address on the Dreambox of 192.168.1.5, so you should un-tick the DHCP checkbox. It's easier to do it this way, so that you always know the IP address.

With DHCP, the address is assigned by your modem and can change if other computers are connected to your network.

You only have to setup the first page on the Dreambox Communications Settings. The mount stuff isn't required for the time being.

Once you've done this, you can start playing with FTP

Let us know how you get on.
