I think 'deflected' must be our top scorer this season

LOL, agreed.
We're certainly still not firing on all cylinders, but a few players are really impressing me at the moment. Geremi seems to be running his socks off - not the best of touches always, but working bloody hard after his rollocking from Mourinho. Essien is just fantastic. JT looks almost like he's not been away and Diarra could be a real gem in a year or two. I also thought that Wright-Phillips had quite a good game. He just needs a good run in the side, and maybe he'll get it if Robben can stay fit enough to give Mourinho the 4:3:3 option.

Yes I've been pretty impressed with what I've seen of Diarra so far.
Essien has got to be up their with Drogba as our top man this season ![]() I'm actually hoping Ballack is going to be out for a bit longer yet, he doesn't have the work rate of our other midfielder's and strikes me as being a bit of a luxury at the moment. Another Veron in my eyes. Thought today was another typical Chelsea performance, opposition miss one or two good chances, average Chelsea performance, another win with a slightly flattering scoreline :? I'm not easily pleased you know! ![]() Kev

I've no idea why we bought Ballack, when we really should have bought another central midfielder and a world-class right back. Some people might say that it's easy to say that with hindsight, but Ferreira was never quite the dream wingback, and with Gallas (****ing good riddance) and Huth (what a liability he was!) leaving in the summer, it doesn't take a genius to see that's where the potential weak points were going to be.
