As weather conditions were calm yesterday I took the opportunity to fit my motorized dish. All seems to have gone well and am now waiting for receiver to arrive anytime soon to connect up. Hopefully will be finished this weekend if weather is ok again ( I will post pictures when complete!)
![]() I was looking for Art card to see me through the season and have noticed this guy selling Art card lately on Fleabay for £47 all in for ONE YEAR. This is one of them 270089806077(copy and paste number) What do you think? I was only looking for 6 months or less card and this geezer is undercutting everyone else by miles! :? |

Well it's certainly cheap enough 8)
The guy's got good feedback and I noticed someone managed to get one off him for £40 so maybe you could just make him an offer ![]() At the end of the day it's up to you, I've never had any dealings with the guy and it's your hard earned up for grabs ![]() I paid double that for mine, again off fleabay, back in October : Can't complain though for the amount of soccer it shows ![]() Kev

Yep. Grab a 12 month ART card for anywhere near that price with both hands. It's a fantastic package, even without the Premiership footy.

Hello m8, welcome to the forum.
Don't worry that you feel out of your depth right now - we've all been there. Perhaps I could ask you to read the four or five sticky threads in this section. I promise that they're not too long or heavy and really will help to get you started. After that we can advise you on the purchase of a basic Technomate system which will get you what you want for around £250 all-in. You should be aware though, that the ART cards are not guaranteed to work beyond the end of this season ![]() Regards, STICK

Firstly, choosing a dish isn't difficult. Stick to the main brands like Triax, Orbit, Raven etc. If you find a dish for sale but you're not sure of it's pedigree, just ask us. If it doesn't appear to be branded, don't consider it.
If you will be motorising, go for a 90cm dish. Multi-LNB setups will require a 90cm dish too. Other single-satellite setups may allow you to drop down in size - maybe as low as 60cm. Most dish sales happen online. This is the easiest way to buy one. Either from a reputable e-tailer, or via eBay. Your choice. Browse the satellite mags (What Satellite maybe) or just use the search engines. If you want to know if they are large and/or reputable companies, you can ask us once you've found something you like. If you just can't decide, then buy a Triax TD88. Only you can decide if you're able to install a dish yourself. If you can understand the guide attached to this thread, then have a go yourself, otherwise hit the CAI website, your local paper or the Yellow Pages for a local satellite dish installer. You may pay up to £80 for a fixed dish install and maybe as much as £150 for a fully motorised setup. Hope this helps. STICK
