OK, it's LNB, not LMB. Low Noise Block-downconverter, and that does sound expensive, but I have no idea how much decent LNBs go for in Malta.
Generally, LNBs with multiple outputs (normally two or four as opposed to one) are used to feed multiple satellite tuners for the purpose of receiving TV from a single satellite in several rooms. Multiple LNBs (whether single or multiple output) are used for multi-satellite viewing. There's a lot more out there than you can get with a single LNB, but a single will get you going. You can usually add one or two more LNBs later - but it might be an idea to check that your (intended) dish has the option of a ready-made multi-LNB holder to make your life easier if you might consider multi-LNB at a later stage. Hope that makes sense! ops: - that sounds a bit waffly even to me!

Thanks! Yes it made sense, I just got it installed, told him I only wanted one but when he was here I changed my mind and he gave be a discount so only LM15 more. Now I have hotbird and astra 19E.
