I can confirm at 12.01am on the first of March 2007 Sky One, Sky News and Sky Sports news disappeared from the screens of VM - Televest (Midlands) customers
![]() All i am seeing now is the Channel Temporarilly unavaliable banner when tuning into channel 120. Hope Richy replaces it was something better than Uncle Rupes trash

Thanks Nano.
Kinda rubbish for VM customers, but a nice big kick in the teeth for Sky ![]() VM will have saved a shitload of money from the loss, so lets hope they do indeed spend it on doing a few direct deals and bring some new, quality content to cable customer's screens. I hope they can do it quickly too, before customers leave en-mass to join Sky. That really would be the worst case scenario.

pmsl just got in from work and checked which have gone and love the sky snooze bit someone has a sense of humour. Going to have to set my freeview box back up for sky sports snooze though which is a pain. Do you think Mr Branson will drop prices now that those channels have gone as we appear to be a few short for the same amount of dosh

SSSnooze will indeed by removed from FreeView soon IF Ofcom approve Sky's plans for the new pay tv service.
The 3 free sky channels will be removed to make way for 4 pay channels.

I know of at least 17 people who are changing to 'Sly' on the basis of the fact that they won't get the Simpsons anymore.
I'm moving my fax line to VM so I can get their free TV Package & next year (when my contract(s) with sky expire) I'll move back to them completely & just have FTA Sattelite. Sky could never offer the Quality of Service that VM can offer through their fibre-optic network. VMs Advantages over Sky:
