Sony... Walkman... Discman.. and then..... :dunno:
You guys really missed the boat.. Apple killed you with the iPod... something you guys could have/should have seen coming and worked harder on developing.. based on your success with the Walkman and Discman.... this was a travesty for Sony.. |

Who knows, Sony might try to make a crazy device that does more than what the ipod does. I like the ipod anyways. The industry of modern electronics always comes out with something new usually every 6 months or so. Video Games, it's a lot less, like 6-7 weeks! LOL

While Sony has a "thousand" more products than Apple, and couldn't concentrate in one specific product to please the majority. They have all kind of stuff that Apple doesn't (PS3, PSP, LCDs, etc), so it's kind of understandable and a lession learned.

I agree. They should've developed sooner and produce something, and so far nothing yet.

well the PSP can do what an ipod does and it does a lot more and its much more appealing and kick **s if you ask me.
sony has their mp3 players too , i actually like their style a lot better than ipod but for their mp3 players its just too overpriced for wha they offer. if they would at least put a color screen in they would be able to get in some competition then |

I honestly thought this was about Sony releasing Blu Ray discs before the players.
It is kind of weird that Sony hasn't put anything in direct competition with the Ipod though, they have MP3 players but they're nowhere near as good as an Ipod. |

True, I noticed the MP3 players were basically glorified USB pen drives - but I figure Sony are trying to repeat the idea that more compact equals more successful, as they tried with the Walkman - but it's such a long time, and a more changed market from then. I figure people want more bells and whistles.
