Hi, With TK Brackets which part goes top. I dont know which is T & K So I am referring to them as 3 dimensional piece or 2d piece. I did search about this but never managed to answer.

Thanks

LOL, that's not right I'm afraid...

That picture is both upside down and wrong.

The '3D' T-shaped piece should go at the bottom, but look like a capital T up the right way, and the '-' shaped bit goes at the top, up the other way too.

Sorry Nano - I've seen that pic on the 'net too and it made me laugh first time

It doesn't really make a lot of difference, and most people actually mount them with the T at the top

Oh the shame of it ops: And to think i purchased one of these of the ****er that took the photo

I would have installed it with the K bit at the bottom but with the bottom support bit pointing down and the T at the top

Still i suppose it doesn't really matter as long as its secure and holds the pole exactly vertical :?

Thanks, I am just putting the 3d t at bottom and normal t at top. Should be ok hope fully although the back is quite windy, using proper anchor bolts though.

Never let it be said that my Photoshop skills suck...

I mounted mine up the other way, as the original intention was to also have a ground stand at the bottom of the mast. I never got around to it though ops:

This is how it should be

just a quick tech comment :-X

sticks installation is structurally correct, the approx 45 degree brace on the bottom k is designed to work in compression to prevent the horizontal support from dropping, the bottom support takes the weight. the top T is designed to stop the weight pivoting around the bottom bracket and works in tension and therefore is a simple connection needing no brace.

i wish i knew as much about transponders

Now am confused again, only drilled holes so far since weather turned bad. So they would be stronger if 2d piece was at bottom.

BGonaSTICK has posted the picture of how it should be set up, the 3d support with the 45degree brace goes at the bottom, the 2d bracket goes at the top. did not intend to muddy the waters
