Default NSS 703 at 57 deg E

Since I am blocked by trees after 15W I thought I would see how far East I could receive when re-adjusting my set-up yesterday. Previously the best I could do was Express AM at 53E which has little of interest (to me at least).

NSS 703 is the answer and I can get amongst others NDTV 24x7, an Indian 24 hour news channel in English. Interesting, if carrying rather a lot of advertising. It is tricky to catch as the SR is low at 2917 - it is on 11507V, FEC 2/3.

I also get 11718V (Star, encrypted) and 12551V (Bulgarian mixture, FTA). These are easier to find when scanning for NSS 703 on account of higher symbol rates.

Nice to have additional English programming - and the adjustments were worth the effort as Telstar 15W at the other extremity is still bang on.

JK, location Edinburgh

Very interesting. It's great to hear about these finds. Hopefully it'll inspire people to test the limits of their kit.

Default Re: NSS 703 at 57 deg E - NDTV gone

NDTV ceased on NSS 703 in early May. Sad because it was a fascinating insight into India.
