Default My due south satellite

Hi, just wanted to confirm what due satellite to use. My longitude is 4.3w degrees. I heard that amos 4w is too hard to find so should I use thor at 1 degrees west or nilesat at 7 degrees west. I assume that my motor would have to be adjusted to 3.3 degrees east for thor or 2.7w for nilesat and then manually search for them by moving whole setup. I will also post pics of my sat setup after its completed and hope I never have to go out again (touch wood).

Thanks

Sunny

What's wrong with Atlantic Bird 3 at 5W?

Just set your motor to 0.7 degrees West before you start.

Look up a suitable FTA transponder at Lyngsat, or use BlackHawk's list.

I didnt know that existed, wasn't listed on lyngsat. Will probably get a much more accurate arc on that.

Cheers

No worries. If I've saved you an hour of banging your head against your dish, it was well worth it
