I stumbled on a channel while fiddling around yesterday; however, as I only have the basic Sat finder (beeps n needle) often when I register a strong signal, I do not know for sure which satellite I'm near.
Yesterday, I locked a signal sufficiently to register pictures. For the moment I have it logged under Hispasat but I am not sure that is its right satellite). It is a CNN station labelled CNN_flyawa~1. Fr. 11463 H; SR 5632; VPID 308; APID 256; PPID 8190 I am checking Lyngsat (have checked 7E and 10E thinking them most likely candidates) but no luck so far. Would appreciate the help of the fraternity ![]() Thanks ![]()

Thats not a channel as such - it will be a feed with a name like that - and it could be on any satellite!

Thanks; I thought of that too. The closest I've seen in that regard is at 1W 11463V but different SR i.e. 6111 (FEC 3/4). Interesting

You could always peak the signal on the feed and then systematically scan each satellite you think is a possibility and see which one produces the goods. You could also do a 'blind' scan if your receiver has that facility.
