Default I'm really, really sad now.

A friend of mine just moved into a house that contained one of the first satellites in the UK. It was a 3.5 Meter dish complete with mounts and all. It was in near mint condition and was still working. I said to him that I'll have it and he agreed (he had allready called Sky to have them put in a minidish). But the cheeky buggers at Sky very kindly offered to take away the 3.5 Meter dish (which according to some sources is worth about £2000), he wasn't in at the time (his wife was) and she quite happily gave it away.

It would have been sooo amazing.

Oh well. I'm getting payed Friday, so I'll be ordering my 'small' 1.1 Meter dish then.

:'(

You'll probably find the person that took it on one of the satellite forums, a few of the installers might work for s*y, but they are also avid satellite enthusiasts, either that or look for it on eb*y

Yeah, I bet it'll turn up on eBay. That's sick. It would have been so cool if you have the space for it.

I am afraid I would have been straight on to the installers and ask for it back.
