Default Skynet 5A / Insat 4B launch

I'll be following the launch of the Ariane 5 and commenting on the progress.

Theres no European sat coverage that Ive seen noted so follow the fun here

Theres a problem with the water deluge system that douses the flame ducts and the launch table....

Heres a general view of the launch pad showing 2 of the 3 flame ducts that evacuate the rocket drives from the launch pad area (one for each of the 2 strap on boosters and one for the main engine)

The massive white tower over on the left is the water tower which can pump 25 cubic meters per second of water onto the pad area.

Launch window tonight opens at 2203 UK time. Webcast starts at 2138 uk time. There was a feed on 5W reported last night, but Im sticking with the webcast.

Wow - they had a camera running at the bottom of the stack and the camera rocked as the boosters lit up at T +7
