hmm seems there's a few out there to chose from
i already have technomate 1500 receiver but its the tms version and the blind scan takes ages it will be just a machine to play around with and see if i can pick up anything so wont need to be expensive |

The "TM 1500 CI+ Super" is the one you want. Its supposed to be a lot faster than the "TMS 1500 CI+" at doing blind scanning

been looking further and the manhattan range seem to be good as they have pvr and 36volt positioners aswell on some models
nanochickin, already have a technomate so dont need another, just a shame mine is not the super version. also tempted by that vantage receiver seen on dr dish tv as it was very quick to scan hotbird on the review they did too much choice |

![]() As far as fast blind scanning, my limited knowledge would point you at the Vantage (simply based on Dr Dish reviews) and the Silvercrest/Comags - they're pretty good, quick and cheap. I think that on paper, the Clarke-Tech's are so similar to the Techno's that they may very well be 'clones'.

I once tried out a Manhatton Plaza, cannot remember the number though. On blind scan it kept locking up on data channels. A quick pass of the hand across the face of the lnb and the receiver then continued searching.

Is that for a blind scan or a regular scan? Either way, it's pretty good.
