Default opinions on a newbee starter kit please

As a novice i would appriciate your feedback on a system kit i am thinking of buying.

As i am starting from scratch as it were, i thought that this kit might give me a reasonable starting point. Your opinions would be gratefully recieved.

Well the Technomate receivers are very well regarded, and have excellent patch support from the hobby coders.

Also a 90cm dish will get you a very good selection of satellites around the arc.

i have a technomate receiver and recommend them for ease of use and the support is excellent, once patched you get atm digital+, tv cabo, premiere and tps/multivision channels

but go for the technomate 1500 super (1 card reader, 1 cam slot) unless you need the 2 cam slots that the technomate 1600 has

also the wall mounts they include aren't very good as when the dish moves the bracket will flex meaning you might lost some of the satellite arc

small set of t&k bracket would be better, depending on the amount of standoff the dish will need from the wall to move east/west

if you have any more questions just ask

Looks good to me, but i do agree that you will need a more substantial mount

I would go for a TM1500 SUPER (1xCI, 1xCard Reader and more support than the 1600) and a stronger mount. I'm not convinced about having only 4 wall fixings with a 90cm dish :?
