Hi ... newbie here ... seems to be a friendly forum ... :-)
Can anyone please tell me whether it is possible to get Danish TV (e.g. DR1 or DR2) in the UK from a satellite? Preferably FTA - but not necessarily. Information from someone who actually has a working setup would be particularly useful. I live in the north of Scotland. Thanks. |

Hi Charlesn. We try to be a nice friendly little forum, and especially welcoming for beginners.
DR 1 & 2 are available in the UK, but are secure scrambled on either the 1W or 5E satellites. You will need an official card.

Hi, Analoguesat (that was a quick reply!)
By "official card", do you mean as part of a package sold by one of the commercial providers (Viasat or CanalDigital) or a card available by some other means? |

Sorry to say I havent the foggiest idea if there is a Danish equivalent of the cards that just give you the national channels. I suspect you will need local information from Denmark on this point.

I don't think that there are any 'hobby' cards/CAMS that will do either of those right now, but I'm horribly out of date on that front.

Thanks, folks ...
Maybe if I leave the topic hanging in the air, somebody will have a suggestion. I have a feeling that there isn't anything from Denmark "up there" in the satellite world. |

One day we may have the Telenor package back on 1W.
