Default TV signal around my home

Hi, i am struggling to solve a problem sending tv signals around my home. I have Sky Multiroom in my lounge and main bedroom. I want to be able to send a signal from each RF out connections on the Sky boxes to an amplifier in my loft space and then down to my kitchen and all other bedrooms. I have set one box to RF channel 68 and the other to RF channel 60. Each cable runs from its respective box to my amp in the loft where they both are connected to a 'Y' splitter. The 'Y' splitter is then connected to the input connection on my amp. The problem is that whichever box i tune into in the other rooms the picture is not very good. Do i need a different bit of equipment in the loft, say a twin input amp or something. My existing amp has a second input but this is FM. I tried connecting one input cable to this connection but that just made it worse. Anyone with any info would be most appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like you might need an amplifier closer to the output of each of the digiboxes to push the signal up into the loft amplifier, but I'm not an expert.

I take it that you can select both pictures (from the two digibox inputs) on TV's receiving their input from the loft amplifier output, and it's just that the picture is poor?

Mkae sure theres nothing on channels 60 or 68 locally as well!

Remember the a passive y splitter really hammers the signal strength.
