Digitalfernehen.de states that Italy has forbidden p0rnographic programming on free channels effective immediately. Included are everything including the channels showing ads promoting sex/erotic chat lines. Only encrypted channels may show p0rn content.

Best news I've heard this year,so far.

Is it confirmed?,and is it a permanent move?,Hope so.
I can now hopefully watch the numerous regional channels.
Go on AS,admit it,13e will be a better place

Only report Ive seen is on the digitalfernsehen web site. Thats all the info Ive got - but dont be surprised if your numerous rgional channels start closing down as they cant cover the costs now.

This being Italy of course its open to question if it will actually happen, or if it will be thrown out after months of arguing about it.

Cant see what the problem is myself. Ive never seen anything on the free channels I wouldnt show my granny.

I had a quick zap through the 13E fta stuff last night, andd although theres been a reduction in nudity theres still plenty of sex line adverts around on Italian channels

I'm all for the cleaning up of porn on FTA channels, but I don't think that most of what's currently shown qualifies as porn.

A small percentage certainly does, and that's the bit I object to. Clean that up and I'll be happy. Put whatever disgusting filth you like on scrambled channels. I'll get them open somehow
