The Techno may well be the equal of the Dreambox in the hardware department (though I doubt it). The tuner in the older Dreamboxes was weak, but the later ones are OK. Not stunning, but OK. The Dreambox is now in its sixth (?) generation. All the bugs have been squished.
The Techno is two or three years too late. The goalposts have moved and the DM8000 is on the horizon. It's not the hardware that makes the Dreambox. It's the following. The number of owners, the knowledgebase and the amount of code. That's worth £100 of anyone's money in my book. £100 is less than an hours coding work.
