I have this nice 120 dish which I rescued last Summer from its abandoned state and just been using it with single LNB. Don't want to go down the road of motorising which is probably the right way to go for a dish of this design. So has anybody fitted multi Lnb's to a dish like this and can suggest a bracket that would be suitable to mount 3 or 4 lnbs.
thanks ![]() |

The Channel Master is far from ideal for mounting multiple LNBs because the upper support arms will obscure the view of the dish face for those LNBs picking up satellites higher on the arc than the primary azimuth setting for the dish.
I don't think there is any simple way around this, and would therefor suggest a polar mount instead, even if you then position the dish manually as opposed to using an actuator.

you would have to make one and remove the 2 upper support arms so it would resemble a standard offset dish with multi lnbs
personally i would motorise the dish as its crying out for you to do that for a dish of that quality if i had one it would be straight on a jaeger smr 1224 motor or polar mount

Yeah, was thinking I would be advised against it. But I don't play around a lot with satellite hopping. The motor could easily seize up :? through non use :roflmao:. I already have 3 dishes and diseq and would like to clean up the yard a bit, also I like the speed of diseq switching and was thinking of keeping one of the dishes for Hispasat.
I suppose I could put a monoblock at the centre for Astra1 and Hotbird, and as the Astra2 signal is so strong it doesn't need a lot of dish I might get a good signal with a home-made bracket. Aha > , can I put a monoblock through a diseq? ? Probably not.I have a Sky non-subbed box and a FTA box and would like to have the Astra2 LNB feeding both. The Sky box is very handy for channel hopping on the radio side of things as I know the numbers for the radio station I like to hear, also have the Sky card for CH5 and Channel5 |

or use the dish as a fixed dish for the satellite you want that is the weakest like 7west , arabsat 26east etc
think you might want to change the fixings holding the dish to the mount as they are rusting abit i'll have the dish if you dont want it pretty please ? lol

That's correct - a monobloc setup (which itself contains a two-way DiSEqC switch) won't be happy on an existing DiSEqC switch output
![]() If you really wanted to get just two close-ish sats on the CM I reckon you could do it - but it's going to upset me just to tell you that. It's just not right for a Channel Master to be subjected to such abhorrent and disrespectful, humiliating and humbling mutilation... Sigh, alright then ![]() Simulating a monobloc with two single LNBs isn't too hard - there are generic clamps out there that will do it. You'll have to clamp Hotbird in the existing holder and have Astra1 sitting to the left if looking from the front of the dish. This way, Astra1 will be sitting a little higher than Hotbird, and may just clear the left-hand support. May - I have no idea if you'll achieve the clearance required. Attached is one of my infamous post-it sketches to give you an idea what I'm talking about (because I can't find a decent picture). The extending device is often a split affair that looks like the big-end of a con-rod. I'll shut up now before I really trash my street-cred :roflmao:
