Default Arqiva secures Top Up TV contract

Arqiva has secured a contract with Top Up TV to provide playout and distribution services for the pay TV operator's Anytime service.

The three year deal will provide an integrated system for the delivery of programming to Top Up TV Anytime set top boxes overnight. Top Up TV will be provided with three playout channels from Chalfont Grove to Arqiva's switching centre in London; from there, the content will be delivered to Arqiva's Feltham media centre ready for playout on the SDN multiplex.

"We needed a flexible solution that combined content integration with a reliable distribution network," said Simon Dore, chief technical officer at Top Up TV. "Arqiva’s existing relationships with the DTT multiplexes combined with their offer of a solution tailored to our needs made it an ideal technical partner."
