Default Subservices

Various receivers, including the Dreamboxes, are able to decode subservices (usually accessed via the green button). I have yet to find a channel that broadcasts any subservices (none on 13°E and 28.2°E - not that I've found, anyway) so I haven't had a chance to explore exactly what these are.

Basicly, I have two questions:

- Does anyone know of any channels that transmit subservices?
- Are subservices anything like MHEG or BSkyB digital teletext?

Try Premiere Direkt, Premiere Sport Portal and Erotik - AB 18! on 19.2E.

The subservices are just regular channels. They're setup with semi-dynamic properties - PIDS etc. - for what reason I'm not quite sure.

Thanks for that. I guess there aren't too many of them about, but when I finally get onto 19.2 I'll have a look (encryption permitting).

I've now discovered the subservices on Premiere Direkt. They're very good, but why have them as subservices?

The sub-services do not have permanent channel properties - TP, PIDS etc. so they effectively 'move around'. I suppose that makes it more difficult to view those services on a non-Premiere supplied receiver.
