I keep receiving message cant find lnb port on my receiver what does it mean

what is your receiver and set up as port will be referring to the diseqc port on the receiver switching capability

do you have a monoblock lnb for hotbird and astra 1 ?

What is your set up (dish lnb receiver) AND what are you trying to watch??

Do you get ANYTHING at all?

hello it is part of a kit i bought from maplins it is a fortec star receiver i have got asignal from my dish but after i scan for channels i just get the message no lnb port it is the first time i have set up a satellite thank you

When you scan the channels what are the settings under the different headings especially those that concern the LNB?

For example: LNB Type; LNB Power: LNB Dish; Diseqc Switch.

Maybe start by checking the settings for those four headings first. 'LNB Dish' in particular should have the reading 'Fixed' if the set up is not motorised or 'Moved' if it is.
