Default Progmedia Server

Had a bit of a play with the SS2 in the early hours after work and thought I would give the server client part of progdvb a go and had some sort of success

Installed Progdvb 5 on my machine with the skystar in and while installing put a tick in the option for progmedia server (if progdvb is already installed you have to reinstall) and started the program. In the services section is now progmedia server (home) I clicked on that and went through the settings to send a stream and it immediately started streaming what I was watching (Star Trek on BBC2) I went into the living room to my main pc and re installed progdvb 5 on that machine and in settings - device list enabled progmedia client transport stream. I then went to Channel list - channel search - progmedia client transport stream and hey presto it came up with a list of about 12 channels which I assume are on the same transponder as the one in the kitchen. There was no lag or stuttering it was just like watching on the ss2 in the kitchen.

Methinks this could be worth a play as we have 4 pcs in the house. Will keep messing about and inform you of any news

I think its possible with the right set up m8 but not too sure. Been looking at VLC too to stream the output from the TM I do know you can stream over the net with that.

Been having another play today and so far its very hit and miss, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. There is a guide here on how to set it up.

hxxp://www.scaistar.com/tv/progdvb/progdvb_4lan/progdvb_4lan_e.htm

Have a look and see if you can get anywhere with it.
