ok ive finally got round to setting up the dish I had reserved for 30 west

just done a temp set up on the floor for now ala tyre mothod

as ref found the usual east sats ie 28 19 and 13 east with ease but as i go west no movement on sat meter

in I missing some thing is an 80cm dish to small for 30west in yorkshire ?

any advice would be good right now

80cm is plenty big enough - its probably further round than you think. Try twisting the lnb so the screw fix is at about "4 oclock"

ok semi success managed to get a week singnal from fox on tv cabo

wondering if the dish may need to be at the front of the house ( that will please the misses NOT ) rear of house faces east but had dish at end of the garden

run out of light now typical wont get to play now for at least a week

its plenty 30west signal is very strong as i'm in west yorkshire and its beaming in for the england match on sport tv 1 on my triax dish

ok there is something really wrong here just cant get any sats to the west

moved the dish to the front of the house on a temp set up now and still only a very week singnal from 30west not enough for a pic but know things are working as can get 28 19 and 13 east still ??

do you have a clear view to the west ? also 30 west is quite low down on my motorised dish so you may need to higher up the dish so it clears fences and things

it dish is on the ground will try it on my shed roof that will give it some hight

ok guys

think I'm almost there managed to get some time again to play next door will think ive really lost it now out there in the dark

got a sort of strong siginal from 30 west

just went back to basics remembered how long it took me to find the sats to the east first time

a blind scan came up with over 200 channels is that a bit low ? 13 east was over 1000
