Default Sky Italia

I am enjoying satellite TV especially tremendously since sorting out gremlins with alignment ( it seems that by just literally moving dish half a centimetre any break up I was experiencing during windy weather has cleared up)
I have an Art card currently for the footie and have been scanning the internet at alternatives for next year due to their imminent demise :'(
Ideally I would like a Sky Italia card and have found this satellite fitting company in Barcelona that seems to be run by British expats that have quoted me around 750 euros( just over £500) for a 12 month package with Sport/calcio which includes receiver , transport and activation which works out much cheaper than UK based dealers. My brother has paid nearly twice that for his Sky Italia sport package from an online deal which is due to run out soon.
What do you think?
You can check them out on www.easisat.net if you want a nosey!

Thanks for that Jim I will give it some thought!
The reason I brought this up was that for what seems the same price as Sky UK I would get a hell more footie , signal is tons better than Art sport and most channels have English option. Only downside obviously is giving Rupert my dosh which upsets me just thinking about it > and also having two receivers hooked up!

Hi Wod, that good to know!
Where are you getting your Premiere card from and is it true what they say about hit and miss quality signal with Digitalb?

The signal quality on Digitalb is fine if you have a 90cm+ dish, It can be received on an 80cm dish but you do sometimes suffer with rain fade.

I've tried both and came up with the conclusion that a 90+ is definately the way to go for 16e where Digitalb is broadcast from

I got my Digitalb card off ebay from a guy trading as Marconidigital. I did have a few problems with the card to start with (missed activation signal) but this was quickly sorted out with a phone call to them. The card was back on within a few hours. Its been fine ever since.

The picture and sound quality can be a bit hit and miss depending on what channel you are watching (Explorer 1 & 2 are a bit ropey but Discovery is perfect etc etc.....) but most of them are at an acceptable standard.

There are also some excellent films, plus a rather good adult channel

Just make sure the receiver you have will work with a Conax and Possibly Irdeto cards (some digitalb card are now Irdeto although most are Conax)

The TMS 1500CI+ definately works with Conax cards, and its a cracking little receiver with very good support and excellent picture quality. I sometimes wish i'd never got rid of mine

The football is currently available from a number of hacked packages, but who knows what the situation will be next season. If it all dries up then I'll be buying a DigitAlb card or watching via CS.
