I agree with BGonaSTICK the lnbs look to close together I played with loosing my old sky dish and adding 28E my 80cm dish some time ago and they were spaced much more than that
to tell the truth i just made a bracket from old junk I had kicking around i moved the lnb infront of the dish till I saw a signal on the sat meter then mad something to suit then bent and modded it till the signal gave a good image on the tv on a side note ive gone back to the old sky dish it was just to prove could be done incase the next door complined about having 3 dishes

I got my T&K brackets from TLC-direct, but Blake's are quite good, as are [urlhttp://www.jwhardy.co.uk/shop/pages/pl_ant_brackets.html]J.W. Hardy Communications[/url] and CPC.
There's some pretty interesting stuff on those sites, and well worth a look for anyone reading this post.

Howdy m8.
![]() I've got a 64cm dish up in Jockland and receive 75-79% signal quality on both 19e and 13e (on most tp's) with a monobloc and technomate receiver. With a 75cm dish down your neck of the woods, I'd expect a greater quality of signal, which to me points to a little more tweaking. Iirc, you either get a picture or not with digital signals, but don't know the cut off point :? I imagine it would be :quote: receiver specific. If it was the trees or some other obstruction, I think you'ld be able to tell. I would bu99er about with the dish a little more before re-vamping the lot. Once you've peaked the signals from both these sat's, then I'd try and get 28e. I was quite lucky that I could see the telly when I was adjusting the dish, so could make adjustment to suit. Went to my uncle's today and was setting up another tv and sly digibox in his dining room to receive ftv from 28e (so he didn't need to watch the bloody soaps and ant and dec shows with my aunt : ) and peaked his signal quality from his dish by moving the elevation by about 1/8 of an inch on the scale. (3mm in metric terms).Went from 1/4 to 3/4 on the signal test bar ![]() Re-affirmed to me again, that alignment is everything and not a lot of scope for error. Regards

BINGO !!!!!!!!!!!
I've done it !!!!! The extra bits I needed in order to re-site the dish arrived this morning. After much drilling, swearing and dashing backwards and forwards between the TV and the dish I've now got all three satellites loud and clear! Astra 1 - Strength 55%, Quality 65% Astra 2 - Strength 65%, Quality 80% Hotbird - Strength 70%, Quality 67% As many of you advised, the signal quality reported by the receiver was improved dramatically by tweaking the lnb angles. Even though this made little difference to the signal strength reported by the signal meter. In order to bring Astra 2 in I had to move the dish back six feet and up two feet. My girlfriend is also chuffed to bits because she now can't see the dish from the conservatory. The only downside is that the neighbours can now see it. I await to see if any of them report me to the council for breaching the rules of the conservation area (even though the dish still can't be seen from the main road, only their upstairs windows. Many thanks to everyone who provided advice and encouragement, it's very much appreciated! Here are a couple of pictures of the re-sited dish in all it's glory. Cheers, Roman |

Nice little setup there.
The only problem is this, with the signal strength you have - it will be fine in normal sunny weather, but it will probably drop out with a bit of rain. Congrats anyway ![]()

Hey, good stuff. I'm pleased you got it all working. I think it would be pretty mean of your neighbours to dob you in, especially as it's below the 6' fence behind it. Maybe a tall shrub to the side of it would mask it completely?
Well done. Worth all the skinned knuckles hopefully ![]() Enjoy your multi-sat viewing, and thanks for sharing the pics. It's always nice to see member's setups ![]()
