You'll have to punch new keys in via the remote, but it may be worth you checking out the al7bar site here:

http://www.al7bar-soft1.com/index.php

then click FTA at the top, and then the button on the left for your receiver. There is some help on their forum, and we may be able to help guide you as well. It sounds scary, but really isn't that bad. You'll need to do some research yourself, and a lot of reading generally. You need to think of this as fun as opposed to hassle though.

Thanks again. I'm still slightly baffled about something, and I would really appreciate clarification from anyone. Would I be able to have channels from Hotbird and Hispasat? Actually, I already know that I can, but I obviously can't get every frequency on Hispasat as Hotbird is my current preference. So, my question is can I do something that will enable me to choose from any frequency on Hotbird and Hispasat?

You mentioned Digital+ and TV Cabo, but I think TV Cabo is a subscription channel, and Digital+ is Spanish. I need confirmation on that though, don't suppose anyone could possible check out TV Cabo to see if it is indeed a subscription channel? Once again, sorry to be such a nuisance. ops:

Thanks!

If you still fancy it then, once again, one of the guy's who has one of these set ups will be able to explain much better than me how it all works. I'm still a novice myself really

Yep TV Cabo is indeed a subscription based package

You will either need to motorise your dish or get a 2 dishes to receive both Hottie @ 13e and Hispasat at 30w. There is no way you will be able to get a 2 lnb setup that will span across 43 degrees I'm afraid

I'm guessing your getting mixed up with hottie @ 13e and Astra 1 @ 19.2e which is a favorite 2 lnb setup

Your not a nuisance either, if you don't ask questions you don't learn or you end up making a very expensive mistake

Wow, thanks for the fast reply. I think the best option for me would be to motorise my dish, I'm not allowed anything bigger.

Really...last question, I swear. Could you possible find out if the following channels are also only for subscribers:

11915
TV Digital Manásat
Rede 7 TV
AD Brasil

11891
Canal de Programaçao

11682
ManáSat

Thanks so much!

11682 V - ManáSat 1 is currently FTA, whilst ManáSat 2 appears to encrypted in Conax.

11891 H - Canal de Programaçao is FTA, but only seems to show tiles of the CABO bouquet.

11915 V - Not available - it's on the 'American' beam.
