Hello all,
I have been looking to get FTA channels from Portugal for a very long time now, but have have got round to doing so. I'm only looking to get one channel actually, and it's called RTP (I believe it's on Intelsat 907). I'm really hoping that I don't have to replace my old 'Sky Minidish' outside though, is it big enough to receive this channel from Bedfordshire, England? I have one last question (a very poor one too) I'm planning on purchasing a sat receiver this weekend, and I know of someone selling an old sky pace receiver (sorry, I have no idea about the model number, I can find out though), will this do the job? Thanks very much. ![]() |

Could you be a more specific please, and let us know whether its RTP International or RTP 1 or 2,so that you can be given the right answer. If its RTP International, then the minidish will work,as its can be found on Astra1(19E) and Hotbird(13E),and other satellites including Hispasat(30W) However,I would advise against buying the receiver, you've mentioned,as a Sky digibox, only allows certain symbol rates, which will prevent you from receiving countless fta channels. Go for a fta receiver. Maplins are selling new and B grade receivers from £40,which do come with a full warranty, this weekend:http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?...S&doy=6m4&SD=Y |

I noticed the 'Touch Box 3' on Maplin's website, what do you think of it? It's a nice price, but does it reflect the quality at all? They do seem to have a large number of B grades. ops: |

Don't know much about the Metronic Touch Box, but the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra Plus for £35 is a pretty good deal!
Especially as there are patches for it at al7bar ![]()

Ok, I just purchased the Fortec. I'm not having much luck though, this is all very new to me.
ops:I'm searching all the satellites, but I can't find any foreign channels. |

![]() I assume there is some sort of metre that will find the correct angle, but it probably comes at a price. Is it something I can do by myself? I'll give it a shot as soon as I get the word. ![]() |
