Im sure you could make that up with a 1080p tv for that price if you wish to have a Freeview DVR seperate.

A Samsung 1080p tv will be about £1200 for the same size set id rather purchase than then a 720p set with a DVR built in.

Its alright, but I have the following points to make:

1) Do not buy it from QVC please
2) Its only 720p
3) Because it has integrated digital, you can't plug things into it (say a playstation1) through a RF lead.

Appart from that its fine, albeit a little to expensive for my liking.

Another alternative would be to buy a 720p projector and a decent wall and then you'd have like a 400" screen?

It is very overpriced.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with 720p unless you sit about 3 feet from the screen or the panel is 50 inches or more.

At normal viewing distances, the human eye cannot resolve the difference between 720p and 1080p on a 42 inch panel. Its not a case of eyesight, it is a function of the human eye.
