The signal is probably too weak.

signal is ok...But no other sats / or channels other than dd and some music channels are not getting. it starts to search and shpws 128 transpoders. but it gets strucked when it reaches 34 transpnders. Then i have to unplug the device. I cannot even switch off it with remote/ manual. ???

What receiver is it? Other receivers I have known with this problem were fixed by applying a firmware update.

Mine is Hirschmann Csr 2CI. Made in germany.

:the system Infos
ECO CSR 30 FTA, CSR2 Ci )

Softwareversion is: from Oct. 09, 2003

Service: Hirschmann Multmedia
Hotline: Hirschmannline@aol.com

actually a good one. I can give Pids too (manually)
But some times it strikes..
Eg. When i do advanced search in astra28.2 it shows 128 transponders.
Signal is OK.
but as soon as it gets 11 channels the reciever is stiking. Only way is to remove the AC cord to off the rec.
How can i update the rec. Can I do it myself?
Earlier I had same rec. but i could make favourite lists and so on. I got it replaced as i got some probs with it. but same reciever.
now i cannot do it.

You may be able to update the firmware over the air (OTA) - check your manual. If not, you'll have to buy a cable and download the firmware update from the manufacturer website.

It's probably a null-modem cable you'll need - check the instructions that come with the firmware loader application - but you basically join your PC and receiver, then send the software over the serial port using the supplier loader utility.
