Hi Guys, I left my Sky box on at the caravan at the weekend as advised to let it update and got a message saying 'satellite signal not being received' so I guess the card has crashed altogether when the package ceased. Any advice on how to fix this? I did set up my sl65 box and it worked fine. Cheers |

Are you saying that the SL65 works fine and the digibox doesn't, when plugged into the same dish and with no other differences?
What sort of signal strength/quality do you get on the SL65? What make and model is your digibox?

Are you saying that the SL65 works fine and the digibox doesn't,.....YES when plugged into the same dish and with no other differences?......YES no other differences
What sort of signal strength/quality do you get on the SL65?.....Strength around 70%....Quality between 61 & 65% What make and model is your digibox?........Thomson as to the model I've no idea, its the one at the bottom of the list that has several pictures contained in the last box, its the one with the Sky remote above it. Sorry for not being clear in the first place and gratefull for any help. |

Yes it works fine when I connected the SL65 to the same set up and the sky box did not and there were no other differences. Signal strength was around 70% Quality between 61 & 65% Its a Thomson box but no clue as to the model, its the one listed under 'Thomson' through the Link here and its at the bottom of the list in a box that contains several box's, its the one with the sky remote above it. Sorry for not being clear about this, any help appreciated. |

No problem.
Sorry, I'm being incredibly lazy in not going back and re-reading the whole thread, but have you had this digibox working on this dish before? More significantly, with this LNB? If not, it may be an incompatibility between tuner and LNB. If yes, then the bad news is that I think the tuner module in your digibox might be sick. If it is, then it might then be possible to replace it, but only really economically viable if you DIY. You can send them away, but it tends to cost £65-odd - more than a good S/H replacement. I promise to have a good review and re-think on this whole thread tomorrow if this doesn't throw any light on the matter, it's just that I'm trying to get an early night tonight! ![]() STICK zzzzzzz
