Hi again, sorry for being vague, Yes it did work OK with the same dish (only have one) the other weekend but came up with the signal not being received this last weekend and when I hooked up the sl65 it worked fine, the sky card was due to elapse on the 19th of this month. Maybe I will need the card with a one off payment of £20 after all. I was thinking of hooking up another TV in the bedroom as its a twin LNB but alas........she has other ideas and as some one mentioned in another thread.........."I'll end up with my bits in a jar at the side of the bed" Thanks again |

Right, 'No satellite signal is being received' means exactly that - there is no signal. It doesn't mean that it's encrypted and that you're not authorised to view it - so you have a physical problem, and not one related to your viewing card.
Do you have another dish you can test your box on? One at home, or a friends or neighbours? If your box has gone west, then you can either repair or replace it. You can also sell your card on eBay (although the card actually belongs to Sky - just tell them you dumped it with the broken box) if you no longer require it. Worth hanging onto the card for the mean time IMO, although the rumour is that Sky will perform a card-swap in the next 12 months. We're certainly due for one.
