Default patching issue

I finally got around to patching my Technomate 1600 CI that I bought in February with latest Darkman files and have noticed (apart from the fact that I don't seem to have cracked any channels! ) that flicking through channels with remote control is significantly slower especially when accessing scrambled ones and also my Art sport channels.
This is first time I have patched and I was wondering whether this is normal behaviour or maybe I hadn't patched properly! ops:

This might sound like a daft question but have you installed the right firmware on to your box

My old TMS 1500 used to work like a dream and it opened everything There was no signifigant slowing down when channel hopping

Hi Nano , thanks for reply
Yes, I followed video instructions for downloading loader, patch, keys etc that seller sent me with receiver.
It installed fine and I am pretty sure it's right firmware as I have checked receiver menu and it corresponds with current firmware that other Technomate owners seem to have posted on other forums.
I don't know if following is a red herring but I was also instructed that when patching was complete to go to France 4 channel for receiver to update itself after a couple of minutes to which it did, but the funny thing is it still does it everytime I go to that channel :
Any thoughts! :?

Hi Linsladeboy,

Are you sure you are using the most recent patch (30/03/2007) and the most recent softcam (18/04/2007)?

BTW autoupdate is not working at the moment on Technomates.

Hi Fergiz,
I definitely updated patch from 30/03, but softcam was from 14th April which I transferred to receiver on the morning of the 15th April and as I said earlier all it seems to have done is slowed down remote change.

The autoupdate from France 4 would have been for TPS which as far as i am aware cannot be opened on a Technomate at the moment due to TPS altering the Encryption algorithm a week or so ago

Not sure if its open again yet on the TMs although if it isn't it should be soon

Try switching the patch off using the code (can't remember what it is) and see if it speeds up again.

2004 is the code for switching the patch on and off.

Select menu / system info / then key 2004 via the remote. Re-type to reactivate the patch.
