Default Storm Tookout Signal

Hey, really new to satellites.

This past week there was crazy storms, that took the sattelite out of angle. Now I'm not sure what to do now if I go up there and try to angle it back into the right direction. This is the information of the channel we had. Any help please? Thanks!

Hot Bird
Transponder 130
Downlink Freq: 11117
Downlink Polarity: V
Symbol Rate: 27500

Hello haqq - welcome to the forum

What sort of dish do you have & what size is it?

Roughly where do you live?

How high is the dish, and is it in a particularly exposed location?

Is it fixed or motorised?

How long has it been up? Is this the first storm that it has encountered?

Did you install yourself, or did you have a paid installer?

Sorry for all the questions...

The dish is about this big CLICKHERE

I live in Toronto, ONTARIO, CANADA.

Its on top of my house, pretty much on the roof. Its about 2 stories up from the ground. Yes its pretty exposed with a few branches maybe in the way other than that its open area.

Not sure what Fixed & Motorised means.

Been up there for ONEYEAR now. Yes this is the first time, this storm was really strong!

Paid Installer.

If you are in Canada theres no way whatsoever you were getting Hotbird!

If for no other reason Hotbird is below the eastern horizon in Toronto!

Prior to the storm, I had clear picture of the channel though?

PS> I got that information from the channels website, LINK. Maybe I was connected to the channel differently?

Whats that exactly mean, GALAXY 25 at 97 West? Channel 25, at 97 Degrees west?

Galaxy 25 is the name of the satellite at 97 degrees West, like Hotbird at 13 east, if you click on the link, Analoguesat provided, it will take you to a page showing all the channels that are available on that satellite.

Hi haqq,
you still haven't told us if your dish is fixed, stationary just pointed in one direction, or motorised, capable of being moved using your receiver to point at other satellites.
The first thing to do is take a look at the dish to see any obvious sign of damage, or if the cable has become loose connecting the LNB to your receiver.
If, as suspected, it is just a case of your dish being knocked out of alignment, this is easily fixed, but if you haven't got a signal meter, it will require having somebody watch the TV while another gently moves the dish until you get a signal.
It would help a great deal if you could provide a little more information and if possible pictures.
